After taking a week off to rest some tired legs and catch up on sleep, Jason Day picked up right where he left off and won the BMW Championship in wire to wire fashion. It was an unbelievable performance that left Day at -22 after 72 holes. The way he has been playing he was probably bummed to shoot a pair of 69s on the weekend. This week is the final stop of the 2014-2015 PGA Tour, the TOUR Champ...

The PGA Tour and the BMW Championship return this week to Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, IL, located about 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. This event was contested last year at Cherry Hill Country Club in Colorado where Billy Horschel defeated Bubba Watson by two strokes. Horschel would go on to win the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta and also claim the FedEx Cup.

I have to admit that it was somewhat nice to take a week away from golf last week and enjoy some college and professional football. That being said, I am really looking forward to this weekend and next. There are only two events left on the PGA Tour and I’m sure most fantasy golf leagues are still up for grabs. I’ll do my best to not give absolutely terrible advice over the next two weeks.

FedEx Cup Doesn't Deliver

Aug 27, 2015 11:35:35 AM

Jordan SpiethI’m not sure if there’s much more that I can say about the amazing 2015 PGA season Jordan Spieth has had that hasn’t already been said. I’ll run down some highlights real quick. His worst finish in a major this year was 4th, won 2 majors, had 4 total PGA tour wins, and 14 top 10’s. He comes in with a 1710 point lead over his closest competitor in the FedEx Cup standings Jason Day. There is no doub...

Hurricane Golf’s Jason Hiland had a chance to speak with Brian Bazzel, Senior Director Product Creation of TaylorMade-adidas Golf. Brian has spent an impressive 15 years with TaylorMade-adidas Golf, and Jason got a chance to ask him about some of the innovative technology that TaylorMade is working on, specifically the new R15 Driver.

When the TaylorMade SLDR Driver came out in the summer of 2013 ...Read More

The return to the winner circle for Tiger Woods is going to have to be put on hold for at least another month or two. Tiger played great on Thursday and Friday at the Wyndham Championship but didn’t make many birdies on the weekend. CBS was the real winner as TV ratings were the highest they have been for a non-major in three years…Saturday at the Wyndham drew the same amount as viewers as Saturda...

First off, congratulations to Jason Day on his PGA Championship win at Whistling Straights. I was lucky enough to attend the Wednesday practice round last week and had a great time watching the coverage all weekend. As a golf fan it was a great tournament…the course looked/played great and Sunday’s leaderboard was loaded with some of the biggest names in golf.

This week the PGA heads to Greensb...Read More

Shane Lowry played some incredible golf at Firestone this past weekend to take the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. He posted -11 (70-66-67-66) to win by two shots over Bubba Watson. Jim Furyk and Justin Rose blew plenty of opportunities on Sunday and blew their 54 hole lead. It was painful to watch. Honestly the entire tournament proved to be a pretty lackluster broadcast. I’m a diehard golfer ...Read More

Backing Rory

Aug 12, 2015 10:52:44 AM

Rory McIlroy’s recent announcement that he would be playing in this weekend’s PGA Championship has brought even more excitement to the year’s last major. McIlroy, making what seems to be quite a miraculous recovery from ruptured ligaments in his left ankle, is defending champion and will get a shot to retain his title. McIlroy admits to not being 100% for the soccer pitch, which is how he injured ...

The Rebirth of "Long" John Daly

Aug 9, 2015 11:47:47 AM

“Long” John Daly is certainly one of the most controversial professional golfers of all time. He smoked like a chimney, gambled like Pete Rose and divorced like Larry King. He won the PGA Championship as the 9th alternate in his rookie season…only gaining entry to the tournament when Nick Price withdrew on short notice and the other eight alternates couldn’t make it to Crooked Stick in time for ...Read More
