One of the most underrated traditions of The Masters is the Par 3 Contest held the day before the tournament officially begins.
It's as laid back as it gets at Augusta National - a course most known for strict rules, breathtaking landscape and, of course, tradition unlike any other. If you've watch CBS or ESPN, Jim Nantz doesn't let you forget that.
It may be a fun and casual day, with kids caddying for their father's and no life-altering shots to think about, but golfer's don't want to win it. It may sound crazy, but no Par-3 contest winner has ever gone on to win the Master's in that same year.
Maybe that's what makes so sociable, such feel good TV. The only pressure is the pressure not to actually win the thing.
Even we can do that.
You can catch the Par-3 action on ESPN at 3pm EDT on Wednesday. More Par-3 Contest info
