Featuring our patented high MOI upside-down head shaping, the Pro Hybrid follows a blueprint that has proven to make consistent contact easier for golfers of all skill levels. Velocity Slot Technology on the crown and Cut-Thru Slot technology on the sole combine with an ultra-thin face to add forgiveness and flexion, making it effortless to catapult the ball online towards its intended target. Repositioning the center of gravity (CG) behind the center of the face enhances the workability of the club for players who favor shot-shaping.

The new XTD irons feature the industry's first-ever cross-cavity design, combined with Cut-Thru Slot Technology, to create distance through technology instead of strengthened lofts.

An industry-first cross-cavity technology helps keep errant-struck shots on their proper path. Constructed for players of all skill levels, XTD irons boast a center of gravity (CG) moved off the face to generate gear effect similar to a hybrid. The result is corrective spin to straighten off-center hits. After contact, a face impact damper dramatically decreases vibration. Direct pressure on the back of the face produces the crisp sound of a forged iron, while some competitors use a simple badge. This also encourages players to drive through the shot.

The XTD series houses the company's thinnest cast-iron face to date, promoting maximum deflection and ball speed. Adams remains committed to finding greater distance through technical advances, while retaining proven design characteristics, such as a 28° loft on a 6-iron. Club engineering promotes ideal launch angles throughout the set, with explosive height off of the face, penetrating ball flight and more preferable descent in attacking the pin.

Great Clubs! Best Value on the internet!
Let me preface this by saying that I'm not a good golfer at all. Still haven't broken 100 (but I see that coming soon with these babies). It's still early (only two 9-hole rounds in), but I love the clubs. I got these to replace a set of 15 year old Cleveland Vas+ irons that served me well, but it was definitely time for an upgrade. I didn't think that the "Game Improvement Irons" category was legit, but these have changed my mind. Had a buddy let me try out a set of Cleveland 588's (hoping that he could sell them to me), which are in the "Max GI" category, and I never felt comfortable swinging them, nor did I hit the ball well with them - and this was after three full rounds of golf. I just never got used to them, and there was no upward progression at all. So I decided to look for another set.
My budget was $400, so I was really limited in what I could look at. The final list after HOURS of online research came down to:

Adams XTD
Taylormade Rocketballz HL
Taylormade Speedbladez
Taylormade Aeroburner
Callaway N415
Cobra Baffler XL

I went to a Dick's Sporting goods and tried them all. The Speedbladez and the Adams' were the final cut, with the Taylormade clubs having the slightest of edges due to the name. Both felt good (not too heave, but balanced) and both hit straight (for me) and with decent distance (according to the simulator at Dick's). But I just couldn't justify spending $100-150 more for the name, so I chose the Adams XTD set. On the course, I'm now using an 8 iron to go 130 -150 (that was solid 7 iron territory for me), and I'm crushing my pitching wedges. Not to forget, I'm also putting A LOT of air under my shots. Heck, I'm even leaving nice ball marks on the greens!

Hurricane Golf had the absolute lowest price around, so I purchased from them. All in all - Amazing clubs, amazing price, fast free shipping (ordered on a Wednesday night, they arrived Monday), and an OUTSTANDING value. If you're on the fence with these clubs, pull the trigger...You'll be glad you did.

Save money
Found a demo at local sporting store. I like the look of the xtds so I tested it out. I fell in love with the clubs. I asked if the clubs are in stock witch they wasn't. He said I can order them for $699. I liked them so much I told him to order me the set. Then wife said shop around. So my next step was eBay. I done a lot of research and found out there are a lot of fakes so I backed off of eBay. Went to taylormades website and found a dozen authorized dealers. So after checking out 5 or so I came acrossed Hurricane Golf. Same set of hybrids that this local sporting goods store wanted $699 Hurricane Golf had for $269 with free shipping this is with A2 year warranty. Factory sealed. I placed the order Wednesday at 10 a.m. received the brand new Factory sealed Adams xtd hybrid that same Friday by 2:30. I called Hurricane Golf due to the fact of the big price difference he explained to me that they buy whole and that's why they're cheaper than all the name brand s sporting good stores. Thank you Hurricane Golf you save me quite a bit of money you have a lifetime customer

VERY WORKABLE AND FORGIVING
Great club. Didn't have a problem hitting my 4 iron but this club is so much easier to hit. Slightly higher ball flight. Hit this club ten yards further and it lands softly. Working the ball is easy.
