This shaft was the standard shaft in the Callaway XR Fairway line, the Project X LZ features a change in the stiffness profile of the shaft, while maintaining the stiffness in the butt end and tip of the shaft, the mid section of the shaft is now softer, this creates a loading zone. The loading zone helps to create more stable shaft deflection in the mid section of the shaft, increasing ball speed.
This shaft comes with a pre-installed adapter of your choice and Tour Velvet 360 Grip. This allows you to switch seamlessly from your pro line stock shaft to the Project X LZ with the quick turn of a wrench.
